Rosie is a 6 year old Border Collie mix that weighs around 50 lbs. She was surrendered to the Biscuit Foundation on November 28, 2009. Her previous owner was diagnosed with cancer on October 12, 2009 and was never able to return home.

Without family in the immediate area, she was boarded at a local vet clinic for a few weeks. A friend contacted the Biscuit Foundation and she is now in our network looking for that special someone to open their heart and home to her.

Rosie is extremely intelligent and when she has to go for a potty break, she will gently lay her paw on your knee. She is completely house broken and is learning the crate is her safe place when left alone. She is not fond of the "feline" persuasion, so her new home would have to be a non-cat residence. Small dogs may look and act like a cat to Rosie, so they are not a good match for her either. She seems to respect larger dogs, but hasn't had a great deal of previous exposure to them because she has always been the only pet. She is on medication for her left rear leg, as she has an old injury that can cause her discomfort. She enjoys being around people, taking long walks and would make a single person or a couple the perfect partner. She is an awesome girl and aims to please her "people".

Sadly, Rosie's previous owner passed away January 13, 2010, exactly 3 months after she had been diagnosed. Her friend expressed she was at peace knowing Rosie was being cared for by the Biscuit Foundation. Please consider adding Rosie to your family today. You couldn't ask for a better pet and she has so much more love to give someone in her life. Why not let it be you!      Without
